We encourage you use this simple test to find out whether your shock absorbers need replacing. Compress each corner of your car and see how it reacts as it springs back into place when you let go. If your car moves steadily back to its original position, your shocks are in fine condition. If your car springs back and forth on each side of its original position like it’s on a jumping castle, your shocks are worn out and need replacing. I took my partner’s car their for a service. Wow, how professional are they. Presentation of staff & reception was first class. Friendly & efficient. The car was ready at the time they anticipated. When I picked up the car, they explained everything they did & showed me photos of parts they replaced (before & after photos to show wearing). When I went into the car to drive off, their was a bag of lollies with their business logo on the bag. What a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. They take pride in your car.

After finding AVR Automotive on the internet and phoning first, I was able to book my 1996 Toyota Starlet in for a very urgent wheel bearing replacement at short notice. Was so grateful for their very prompt accommodating service. It was my first visit to a mechanic in very many years (why I left it too long) and the nerves were horrendous, but Paul’s excellent communication skills, expertise, patience and respectfulness soon reassured me, as did the huge, clean, organised, spacious, extraordinarily well equipped and busy workshop and smiling friendly staff.Similarly the clean, tidy, well equipped and very comfortable waiting room showed a respect and thoughtfulness for their customers, even with access to the remote control to change the channel on the TV and a free coffee coupon for the delightful coffee shop over the road. The work was done so quickly and the warranty on the work gives me confidence of a job well done.When I got back to the car, I found it had also been cleaned and vacuumed! The very loud left side rear end whining noise is gone (no it wasn’t a mother-in-law), and I know what I am up for in the future.You really do get what you pay for. Thank you so much to the Team at AVR Automotive.

Exceptional service.Can’t say enough good things about this place. I chose to check out AVR after reading the glowing reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. It is everything the reviews have said and more. Friendly and very professional staff, clean workshop and waiting room. The work carried out on my car was exceptionally well done and documented. They even emailed me during the day with detailed photos and notes of other issues they found, along with a quote to correct them if I wished to go ahead with the work. My 12-year-old car now feels and drives like it did 10 years ago. Previously I had been going to the dealer network, never again; I will remain a customer of AVR. I have been taking my car to A.V.R.
