Services

Most services available mobile. We service Light vehicles, 4wd, Light commercial, Petrol and all Diesel vehicles.

1. Minor Service
Check all lights, fluid and oil levels, check all belts, radiator and heater hoses. Check battery level and security. Drain and refill engine oil, remove and replace oil filter. Check front and rear brakes, adjust brakes and handbrake where applicable. Carry out general safety inspection and report items requiring further attention. Road test for abnormal conditions.

2. Major Service
Includes minor service as above as well as, remove and replace spark plugs, check condition of high tension leads, distributor cap and rotor, remove and replace fuel and air filters, remove and replace contact points set dwell and ignition timing, adjust carburettor settings as required. Road Test.

*Please note some vehicles have electronic ignition fitted where no contact points are replaceable.

EFI  Vehicles, Remove and replace spark plugs, check condition of high tension leads
Check/replace air and fuel filters as required. Check and reset ignition timing where applicable. Check and reset TPS when required. Carry out Diagnostic scan using latest Scan Tool equipment  and report

* Please note on some vehicles ignition timing, idle speed and fuel load is controlled by vehicles computer and is not adjustable.

3. Manufacturers Log Book Servicing
Carried out in accordance with manufacturers recommendations set out in service schedule, maintaining vehicles warranty. Price depends on make model and service required. Please contact us for a Fixed price quote.

4. Brake fluid flush
Due to the nature of brake fluid it has the tendency to easily absorb moisture, thus hydroscopic ability lowers the boiling point of the brake fluid meaning  a less efficient braking system. AVR AUTOMOTIVE recommends brake fluid flush every 2 years or every 40,000klms.

5. Cooling system Service
Drain and flush cooling systems. Check condition of top and bottom radiator hoses and heater hoses. Add coolant to correct concentration and pressure test cooling system. Carry out visual inspection and check for external leaks, test radiator cap condition and cooling fan operation.

6. Injector service
Servicing available both on and off the vehicle. Price varies depending on model application

7. Engine Tunes, Compression tests and valve clearance adjustments available

8.Caravan, Trailer wheel bearing repair and Brake adjustments
Don’t get caught as so many people towing on our roads do with wheel bearing problems on the side of the road. Book your trailer, caravan, camper in now for peace of mind. We will remove clean  and inspect your wheel bearings, repack and reassemble and even check electric brakes where fitted.
